Toro WaterSmart® Solutions
The Toro Company is shaping the industry with products that address critical water management and scarcity issues faced by much of the world. From the controller to the zone, our products work together to provide precise, efficient, and practical irrigation solutions. Together, these technologies work as a complete system to save homeowners, property managers, municipalities, turf managers and other customers a substantial amount of water and energy resources.

Toro Precision™ Soil Sensor

  • Leveraging Toro sensing technology used on high-end commercial sites and world-class golf courses around the globe, the Toro Precision™ Soil Sensor works with nearly any irrigation controller to reduce water waste by continuously measuring moisture levels in the soil and determining when to allow your controller to water, maximizing the efficiency of your irrigation system. Communication between the sensor probe and receiver is completely wireless, so installation is quick and easy with no digging required.

Toro Intelli-Sense Controller Family

  • Using daily, real-time ET information, all Toro Intelli-Sense controllers change watering schedules in response to changing weather conditions. But unlike many competitors, the WeatherTRAK® scheduling engine adjusts watering the way horticultural experts recommend – by allowing the soil to partially dry out before triggering a watering event for any station, encouraging deep root growth. This ET adjustment has proven water savings from 25 to 45% in multiple studies, including independent studies by Santa Barbara County and Los Angeles County Department of Water and Power.

Toro 570Z XF Spray with X-FLOW® Valve-In-Stem Shutoff

  • A removed or mowed-off spray nozzle loses 40 gpm at 50 psi – a bathtub-worth of water every minute – but the patented X-Flow VIS restricts wasted water by 99% in such a situation. This unique device prevents water loss if a nozzle gets mowed off, but allows the sprinkler riser to pop-up, enabling easy location and identification. It even allows irrigation technicians to change out nozzles while the system is pressurized. The water-saving X-Flow Valve-in-Stem technology can only be found in Toro 570Z Series sprinklers

Toro PrecisionTM Spray Nozzles

  • They look, install and radius-adjust like the most popular brand of spray nozzles. But that is where the similarities end. Featuring patented H²O Chip Technology – and no moving parts – Precision Series Spray Nozzles feature 35% lower flow rates, water droplets of more consistent size and velocity, improved uniformity, better edge definition, 1” per hour matched precipitation rate across all models and a 20 to 50 psi pressure range. All these features translate to less water use and lower overall system cost.

Toro P-220 Series

  • Excessive pressure results in misting, an increase in flow with a decrease in useable precipitation. Adjusting to recommended operating pressures can result in a 30-40% reduction in water use, or more depending on system pressure.
